The restaurant Oscar’s on the Yarra is set in a building that has been welcoming tourism customers since the late 1920s. The venue on 21 acres has river frontage and the deck of the restaurant overlooks the river and is shaded by a 100-year-old oak tree.
The a la carte menu offers country cuisine including light lunch options. A popular dish is chef Alessandro’s home-made gnocchi with spinach, blue cheese cream, crushed walnuts and parmesan. The chef creates his menu sourcing produce from the local area where possible.
To complement the food, the wine list has a strong Yarra Valley focus including Seville wineries and other notable wines from other Yarra Valley labels.
Oscar’s is also available for private dinners and milestone celebrations and also conducts seasonal events.
Christmas in July is the next event
and is now open for bookings. Future events will include food and wine matching evenings highlighting local produce.
