Phillip Johnson Brings Chelsea Back Home with the ‘Australian Garden at Olinda’

Two years ago we brought to our readers the story of Yarra Valley landscape designer, Phillip Johnson. In it, he spoke of his dream to recreate his exhibition garden that won 2013 ‘The Best in Show’ Gold Medal at the Chelsea Flower Show, back here in Australia.
Chelsea is the most prestigious gardening event in the world. Showcasing world class gardens, floristry and educational exhibits, the Royal Horticultural Society’s show has been held every May since 1913. Their ‘Best in Show Award’ represents the ultimate achievement in the horticultural world, but no Australian had previously realised that goal.
