Serenity and history in Dixons Creek

Nestled in the tranquil landscape of the Yarra Valley, Glenlowren stands as a testament to the vision and dedication of its owners, Tinne and Pieter Looringh Van Beeck. With roots tracing back to Holland and South Africa respectively, Tinne and Pieter immigrated to Australia in 1983. Their desire to reconnect with nature after years of city-living led them to the Yarra Valley where, after much searching, they stumbled upon land that would become their personal haven and a cherished destination for others.

In 2002, while raising their 4 children in Bulleen, Tinne and Pieter visited the Yarra Valley with Tinne’s sister. A property caught their eye, so they tracked down the real-estate agent who was selling it, to find out more. They felt an undeniable connection to the land. Without having seen much of the property, and despite its rundown state, they saw immense potential and took a leap of faith. Pieter laughs as he recalls, “We knew it had flowing water, but that was about it. We still went ahead and made an offer even though we hadn’t seen all of it. We had to mortgage everything into the property, even our superannuation. Everything went into it.”
