The Magic of Misty Cottage

If you chance to stroll down a certain riverside street near Warburton and fancy that you can hear, above the chuckling water and the calling birds, the gentle strains of music from another time, you may not be simply carried away with the mystical beauty of this special pocket of the Yarra Valley. It is likely you are passing Misty Cottage, the neat, pretty home of early music artist, Amy Earl.

Here, in the sanctuary she has created to reflect her love of beautiful things from long ago – from the lavishly ornate Georgian era, and the sophisticated Edwardian times, to the earthily seductive Baroque period – she can be heard playing one of several harpsichords, caressing her Celtic harp, or tinkling the ivories with Chopin.
