For Silvan local, Emily Rubira, design isn’t just about aesthetic; it’s about connection to place, and connection to each other. Deeply grounded in the natural beauty of the Yarra Valley where she lives and works, Emily brings a quiet reverence for her surrounding landscape into every garden she creates, saying, “My designs blend beauty with functionality; landscapes that not only captivate the eye, but also support and nurture the natural world around them.”
Emily is a rising star in the landscape design world, having quit a corporate career to follow her passion for horticulture and design. Her recent success at the Melbourne International Flower and Garden Show (MIFGS), with the award-winning design States of Green, is a testament to the vision, and connection to the land that drives her creative talent and validation that she is exactly where she is meant to be in her work life.
