Nature close up: fungi & flowers with Bruce Fuhrer
The Montrose Environmental Group hosts Bruce Fuhrer, an exemplary mycologist and fungus expert, worked at Monash University Biology Department of 25 years. He has authored many books including field guides for fungi, mosses, wildflowers and seaweeds, and has four species of fungi and two liverworts named after him. His contribution to natural history has been recognised with numerous awards including the Australian Natural History Medallion and an Order of Australia Medal. This year more than 700,000 tulips have been planted, with over 120 different varieties, and thousands of other flowering bulbs on show. Festival will include the unveiling of the world’s biggest clog, and Victoria’s sixth-richest sculpture prize. Adults $24, Concession $20, Children (under 16) free.
