Upper Yarra Open Gardens
Five gardens from Seville to the Warburton area will be open from 10am to 4.30pm and their locations will be signposted along the Warburton Highway. Refreshments, a plant stall and gardening books will be available at various gardens. Each of the gardens is a unique reflection of its owners’ gardening knowledge and enthusiasm, and all of the owners will be available to answer questions. Fresh new works from members of Sherbrooke Art Society are paired with a stunning display of Ikebana; the art of Japanese flower arranging from the Sogetsu School of Ikebana. The Ikebana artists create their pieces on site, often pairing their arrangements with the exhibition paintings, taking inspiration from the forms and colours within the artworks. Ikebana teacher Lara Telford will also conduct a workshop for parents and children on the art of Ikebana. Free entry.

Warburton will again turn into a Nordic hamlet for the weekend of October 17-18, 2015.
