BURRINJA’S CLIMATE CHANGE BIENNALE
Burrinja’s recently opened Climate Change Biennale features a number of interactive outdoor and indoor works that are great fun. The first Australian biennale of its kind, the Burrinja Climate Change Biennale strives to provoke and track critical discussion and cultural conversation around climate change. The exhibition of works by shortlisted artists includes opportunities to engage with direct art-making activities in the gallery and online through social media.

Created by ACMI this critically acclaimed exhibition goes behind the scenes of Academy Award-winning Australian animator Shaun Tan’s film and book, The Lost Thing. The exhibition features Shaun’s exquisite original drawings and working sketches alongside exclusive footage of the animators and sound artists demonstrating how the drawings were brought to life on screen with movement, sound effects, music and narration.

The Blue Lotus Water Garden holds its annual Lotus Flower Season which features thousands of lotus and water lily flower blooms of many different varieties spread over 14 acres of ponds and ornamental lakes set in a tropical garden.
