DESCRIPTION:Bach to the Bush is an ongoing concert series by Newcastle\, NSW cellist Anthony Albrecht. \nOutstanding talent\nAn outstanding young musician of international renown\, Anthony is a recent graduate of The Juilliard School’s prestigious Historical Performance program which he attended on full scholarship. Anthony is currently based in London as a Guildhall School of Music and Drama Research Scholar. \nAnthony returns to Australia regularly for performances with Pinchgut Opera and the Australian Haydn Ensemble\, and has recorded for ABC Classics and VIA Records (New York City). \nIn these two-hour concerts\, selections from J.S. Bach’s stunning suites for solo cello are interspersed with other short\, early works for the instrument and discussion of the historical and cultural context of this timeless music. \nLocal Bach events\nAn event will be held on Sunday\, July 2 at Khoi’s place in Healesville\, 59 Healesville – Koo Wee Rup Road\, from 2pm. \nThere is also a second event on Tuesday\, July 4\, at 7pm\, Olinda Hall\, cnr Olinda-Monbulk and The Georgian Rd. \nTickets are available at the door\, or book ahead online. \nFind out what other events are on here.
