I am the one who puts the things on the pages and helps brainstorm ideas. I have been with Yarra Publishing since 2018, and have a background in visual arts and interior design. Our small team and collaborative working process means I have experienced, and am involved in, every part of the business. My focus now is on expanding our portfolio and continuing to elevate our publication.
I have two cats I worship like ancient goddesses. I spend my spare time creating obscure objet d’art, and collecting books, plants, and art. I am terribly passionate about doing my bit to save the planet. Supporting local businesses anyway I can is what fuels my devotion to Yarra Publishing and everything we stand for.
Imogen has been a new addition to the team, joining Yarra Magazine at the start of 2024 as she completed her final semester of university. Now with a bachelor’s in business, Imogen has followed her love for creativity and marketing helping to grow the vision of Yarra Publishing. She’s passionate about good food, painting, reading, nutrition and exercise… and of course her whippet, Fig.
I am a teacher, writer and editor who’s lived in the Yarra Valley for over sixteen years. I raised my three beautiful kids here, and have always been active in the local community. With a Masters in English Literature, I love the written word on every level, and have an enduring obsession with magazines, sparked by a little subscription to Twinkle (a vintage UK production) as a five year old. I genuinely love creating a magazine that celebrates everything wonderful about the region that is my home, and never take for granted the privilege I have of being able to support local businesses and creatives in a way that aligns with my own commitment to integrity and excellence. I’ve intentionally created a collaborative work environment and am fully immersed in the process on every level. Yarra Publishing is created by a passionate, talented, and committed team, all equally important in their roles. When I’m not working, you’ll most likely find me hanging out with my family, and a menagerie of cats and dogs – book (and possibly a glass of wine) in hand.
